Accuracy & accountability
Corrections matter.
Local knowledge deserves precise reporting and a visible record when evidence changes the story.
How corrections work
We review specific, checkable corrections against cited records and relevant context. We distinguish factual mistakes from competing interpretations or facts that remain uncertain. Material corrections appear in the article, alongside its updated date; we do not quietly erase substantive errors. Minor typography or style changes do not ordinarily require a public correction note.
Send a correction
Email bryan+placewoven@usefulsignal.ca with the article URL, the particular statement you are questioning, and any source or document you want us to examine. You need not disclose private details about yourself to suggest a factual correction.
Placewoven uses AI-assisted research and drafting, but human-readable primary records, source comparisons and an independent editorial quality gate determine what may be published. We do not claim to have visited a site or interviewed anyone when that has not happened. You can read more about the standard on Our method.
